Why the real estate market will not come back... To where it was: Part 3

There are three trends crippling a new generation of homeowners.

1) Student dept has surpassed credit card dept.  Combine this with the fact that now 30% of people in this nation have a college degree and as home ownership teaters at 50%.  These student loan cannot be forgiven like other consumer loans which damages credit and dream of a future mortgage.

2) The recession has made us cut back and made companies run more efficiently.  Many people find themselves doing the work of their own and their buddy who was let go.  This has become the status quo.

3) Decrease in marriages.  Without the benefit to combine dual incomes and without the need for a larger home, renting becomes more and more desirable.
